Kevin Caldon (Southend Mens and Veterans Champion) narrowly misses out  on becoming the Over 50's National Champion to Keith Williams, after a superb performance at the Veterans National Championships held over the weekend of the 12th and 13th May at Thornbury near Bristol.
Wins along the way included a Quarter Final win over Joe Kennedy (Over 50's England Ranked at No 4) in 5 sets, after coming back from being 0 - 2 down and a 3 - 0 whitewash in the Semi Final over the much fancied No 1 seed and Over 50's England ranked No 1 player Brian Johns.
This was an especially impressive performance considering he only resumed playing well into the current season from an injury that kept him out for the best part of 18 months.
Great work Kevin, sounds like a great performance.

Well done Kevin, those coaching sessions a few years back obviously proved the ideal platform getting you back playing at the highest level.
